ITU Sport Development Camp News
The annual ITU World Junior and U23 Camp is currently taking place at the Sports Super Centre in Runaway Bay, Gold Coast. Lead by Director of ITU Sport Development, Libby Burrell, the 49 participants span across 24 countries from five continents making a truly global partnership where national level athletes and coaches from developing and emerging nations can come together to improve triathlon across the world through education and participation.

One Week To Triathlon World Champs
With just a week to go until the paratriathlon and age group racing gets underway for the 2009 ITU Triathlon World Championships, amateur competitors from across the globe will start to make their way to Australia's Gold Coast.

Yamamoto Defends Asian Title
Japan's Ryosuke Yamamoto successfully defended his ASTC Triathlon Asian Championship as he held off fellow countryman Hirokatsu Tayama by 24 seconds to take victory in Incheon, South Korea with a time of 1:49:55.

Indian Triathlon Federation Elections
The Annual General Meeting of the Indian Triathlon Federation, held on  30 August at the TNSRA Squash Academy, Chennai saw Mrs. Surekha Ramachandran  elected as the President of the Indian Triathlon Federation and Mr. Rakesh Gupta  re-elected as  the General Secretary for another term of four years along with nine Executive Committee Members.

2010 Long Distance Tri World Champs
Immenstadt in Germany will host the ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships
on 31 July - 1 August 2010.

Paratriathlon: GC Classifiers' Course
ITU Paratriathlon Committee welcomes all members who are qualified physiotherapists,
medical doctors or have an interest in Paralympic sport to participate in the ITU Paratriathlon Classifiers' Course in Gold Coast.

One Month to Concord World Duathlon
Race preparations continue in North Carolina as the 2009 ITU Duathlon World Championships are just one month away. The weekend will feature more than 750 age group competitors and 150 elites racing on a 10k run, 40k bike, 5k run course in and around Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Wins for Frintova & Malyshev in Poland
Vendula Frintova showed decent biking skillls and devastating pace in running when she closed down and passed Vanessa Raw from Great Britain to win the ITU Kedzierzyn Kozle Premium European Cup in Poland.

With one year to go, the British Triathlon Federation has launched the new event website for 2010 Edinburgh ITU Duathlon World Championships which will be held on 3-5 September 2010 in Edinburgh. For more details please visit www.edinburghduathlon2010.com

Anti-doping: New Logo
The ITU Anti-doping team is pleased to present their new ITU Anti-doping logo. Please look for this logo at next week's expo during the 2009 Gold Coast Dextro Energy Triathlon - ITU World Championship Grand Final in Australia. Members of the ITU Anti-doping team are teaming up with ASADA staff to man an educational booth during the weekdays. Everyone is welcome to drop by the booth from Wednesday to Friday and take the WADA Anti-doping quiz to try to win a prize with the new ITU logo on it.
