Think You Can't Watch Triathlon on TV?

Despite the rapid growth and increased public interest in the sport of triathlon there has been a shortage of quality programming available on TV… but not anymore!

After four legs of the eight race Dextro Energy Triathlon – ITU World Championship Series complete, the ability to follow elite triathlon racing live and on demand has never been better.

With television stations from across the world broadcasting live images and highlight packages, triathlon has attracted a global audience who have seen some intense and exciting action from Tongyeong, Madrid, Washington DC and Kitzbühel. From the incredible sprint finishes of Tongyeong and Madrid to the amazing backdrop of downtown Washington DC all the way through to the slips and slides in the Austrian rain in Kitzbühel, we've seen it all.

It's not just on television where triathlon has made an impact as the ITU's online broadcasts via www.triathlon.org/tv have taken racing into the homes of thousands with a premium service which takes high quality live television pictures and the ability to view in depth features such as GPS transmissions and athlete heart rates, courtesy of Suunto.

Just one hour after the winner crosses the line, premium users can watch the race again in its entirety and have first access to the TV highlights package, featuring behind the scenes footage, athlete interviews and interesting features, before it is shown across the world over the broadcast networks. With the on demand feature viewers can watch the events time and time again, reliving the sprint finishes, crashes, intense action and incredible shots as the best triathletes in the world go head to head.

To access the premium service, and to gain access to the back catalogue of 2009 Dextro Energy Triathlon – ITU World Championship highlight shows, fans can log on at www.triathlonlive.tv and sign up for the small one time cost of just €19.99.
