Race Distances:
O3 Distance - 4 km swim, 120 km bike, 30 km run
Cut-off time - 12 hours, 6PM, signaled by fireworks
Standard Distance – 1.5k m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
Race Course Description:
Swim:
O3: Two 2km loops (Cut-off: 3 hours, 9:00AM )
SD: One 1.5km loop
Description: Clockwise direction with a surf-run each loop. The course will be partially marked with buoy lines. Kayaks will be deployed to guide some of the swimmers or provide safety assistance. A buoy line will be located offshore. The distance from swim exit to transition is 50m, beach sand path with shower.
Bike:
O3: 3 Naval Magazine Loops (Non-Drafting)
SD: 1 Naval Magazine Loop (Non-Drafting)
Direction: counter clockwise, keep right
Road Quality: Smooth asphalted road with some cemented portions. Go towards Naval Magazines.Instead of taking Maritan Hi-Way, from Rizal, turn right at Argonaut and stay on it until Maritan. Turn around a little past Show Bunker, approximately 1.5 km before Camayan point. Each loop covers approximately 10km of flat road with the remaining 30km winding and rolling roads going to & from the turn around point.
Wheel Drop Points: Botanical Garden Entrance and Transition Area.
Aid Stations:
- Water and paramedic stations and Radio center communication will be located along the bike course.

O3: Eight (8) 3.7km loops along the Boardwalk Area + a 600m finish loop
Loop description- From Dumuk Bridge go down Waterfront past Manila Rd, using a bridge. At the end of Waterfront, turn left towards Light House Hotel, right at the Hotel entrance towards the Rotunda. Stay left for this portion of the run. Go along the Rotunda in a clockwise direction and head back towards Hotel. Turn left at the Hotel towards Waterfront. Run past Waterfront towards Dewey. Turn right at Dewey, crossing Manila over a bridge provided by Asian Center for Insulation, Phils.; then right at Sampson. After Teriyaki Boy, turn right at Betty Lane towards Taft. Turn around at Taft and head back to Sampson. Right at Sampson, right at Waterfront towards Transition Area.
SD: Four (4) 2.35km loops (Waterfront, right at Manila, right at Dewey, right at Sampson) + a
600m finish loop
Direction: Generally clockwise, keep right.
Road quality: Smooth asphalt.
Description: Generally flat. From transition 2, triathletes climb Dumuk Bridge at the start of the run to cross over to other side. After completion of required loops, triathletes will turn right at Espiritu St, right again at Dewey St and right again at Rojas St to the finish .
Water station: 2 every loop, one at Pancake House along Dewey Rd., the other at the lighthouse Rotunda. The SBMA Fire Department will provide a shower near Pancake House.
Awarding:
Early dinner will be served and the awarding will be held in El Centro. There will be a free 15-minute massage for all finishers at El Centro. People may extend the massage session for another 15-minutes at a cost of PhP100.
Tips for the masseurs are welcome.

(Only individual O3 participants that finish in the top 50% are eligible for the Fastest Split Awards)
- Finisher's Medal & Certificate for all who complete the O3.

O3 Relay Competition:
Each relay team will be composed of two or three members, with each member doing one or two legs.
Tap-off from one teammate to the next will be done inside the Transition Area (T1/T2), beside the bicycle at T1 (swim to bike), and prior to exit at T2 (bike to run).
The National Duathlon Team may join the team relay race on a non-bearing basis. Individual members of the NDT may be drafted by other teams. Only 1 member per team.
- Medals for all the members of the Top 3 teams in the Relay Competition
Inter-Club Triathlon Competition:
- Each triathlon club may field one or more teams composed of 4 members. No gender distinction.
- 3-member teams will also be accepted. Each club may field more than one team, but only a
maximum of 2 teams in a club are qualified for the Top 3 podium awards.
- Only participants in the O3, Male & Female, are eligible to join the Inter-Club
- The aggregate times of the best 3 members will count.
- Current members of the National Triathlon Team are NOT allowed to join the team competition.
- A maximum of one former national triathlon team member can join a team.
- “No Drafting” rule enforced for team members
- Team members will race as individuals in their respective waves.
- Team members are still qualified for individual awards.
- DNF (did not finish) will be assigned a time of 12:00:00, in case less than 3 members finish.
- Each of the 4 members of the top 3 teams (maximum of 2 teams from the same club) gets a medal.

- The members must already be registered as individual entries.
- There are no separate fees for team entries.
- Changes in the team composition will be allowed until 5 PM, July 31, 2008.
